Chicago Marathon

Jill and Brittni
(At this point we had NO idea what we had gotten ourselves into)
Walking to the marathon in the freezing cold (not our idea)

The fans were awesome!
My amazing Michigan BFF totally took care of Jill and I the whole time.

Mile 13 - half way there!

This smile was totally forced

My number one fans!

This past weekend was the Chicago Marathon. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. I don't know why someone would do more than one of these. I couldn't have done it without Jill. There were seriously times when she was dragging me. I am so glad we did this together. I did it, I ran a marathon. It was a good experience I am so grateful that I ran this marathon in honor of my sister and not in memory of like so many others. Thank you for all the support from everyone.

It made me cry....You did so awesome. Thanks for raising the money. Our family is so greatful for people who believe in a "cure" and helping others. I thank god everyday for people like you who have the unselfishness to help others. As a non-hodgkins lymphoma's suvivors wife, thank you. You may have just given someone a chance at life....love you lots!!!

Hey, I was there! I witnessed the amazing sprint to the finish line! You made 26.2 miles look EASY! I am so proud of you and Jill both! I was bawling when you crossed the finish line the people around me wondered if you had won the whole darn thing. You did win the right to call yourself a Marathon Runner! Gee, I can't wait to cheer you on for marathon 2, and 3, and 4...
