LENT?!?

I am giving up chocolate and caffiene for LENT. I know that sounds a little odd being that I am LDS. I have this amazingly supportive friend named Sara. She is such a great friend and has my back on EVERYTHING! So when she decided to give up chocolate and caffiene for Lent and wanted some support, how could I say NO? I told Adam what I was doing and he said, "You know LENT is 40 days don't you?" Today is DAY 2 and I will be honest it has been a little rough. I have been snapping at my kids all day and when Adam got home today I mumbled under my breathe...I am not even CATHOLIC! I better get an Easter basket full of chocolate!

I use to drink caffiene like crazy and I realized that it was completely unhealthy. I've been off for about two years now. I only have one if I get a migraine and I'm desperate. I hear that most people switch addictions... GOOD LUCK!!!

I saw some Hershey's Nuggets in Smiths today and thought of you. No diet coke? I've decided that it makes me a much nicer, more social person. It gives me the same endorphins as a visit to the gym. If I can't make it to the gym and I'm crabby, Coby has a backup supply! Good luck with Lent. Who knows, maybe you'll give it up for good? But I've been trying to kick the habit and only have "sips" every now and then.

I will personally mail you a basket full of chocolate. Better yet, when my cousin comes from Switzerland this month I will have her bring a bunch of Swiss Chocolate with her as a reward for you and send it your way. YOU DESERVE IT!

Too bad you can't just go to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory and fall in the Chocolate River like Augustus Glupe did after lent is over!

You need to go to your local McDonald's after it's over and get an XL Diet Coke with a lemon. My personal favorite every morning on my way to work. It's a little piece of heaven!

Brittni you are such a great friend for doing this with me!! Yesterday was so so hard. Dave actually said have a piece of chocalte already and I said "NO" if I can run 26.2 miles on 2 feet I can not eat chocalte or drink caffiene. Day 3 has arrived and it seems easier today well its only 7:40 am....love sara You are the BEST

Well, aren't you a nice person!?! BUT, that being said, we officially have nothing in common anymore. I had the Diet Coke drip in my IV turned up today, just for you. Good luck!
