Labor Day Camping

We went camping at Lake Michigan over Labor Day weekend with some friends. We went boating, lounged on the beach, ate too much, watched movies, and just had an all around good time!

The 4th of July in Delta

We went to Delta for the 4th of July.  The day before we went to the "REZ" to do a little boating.

We started the day off at the parade were the boys got about 10lbs of candy.  After, we went to the park were I got to see all my friends from high school.  Then we finished the day with the Demolition Derby and fireworks.  Delta is the best for the 4th of July and it was so fun to see all my friends and family.

Easter Egg Hunt

The fam

Scooby Dooby Do (the boys are currently obsessed)

I can honestly say I have no childhood memories of hunting for Easter eggs while there was still snow on the ground. I guess there is a first time for everything. Our township had an Easter egg hunt this weekend. The boys, of course, didn't even notice the weather.

Happy New Years!

We had a huge snow storm to help us bring in 2008.
I am all about lists so I had already started my list of resolutions about a week ago. I always write my resolutions in my journal so it was kind of fun to look back and see how many of them I accomplished or didn't in 2007. I like to reflect on the last year and remember all the great blessings we have been given. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful things in my life. I love living in Michigan and more importantly love all the amazing friends we have made. Everywhere we go we run into people we know that have become our friends and family. On a daily basis I am inspired by ALL my friends to become a better person and it feels so wonderful to be associated with those type of people. I love knowing my friends are happy for our successes and love us more for our shortcomings.
My sister-in-law decided instead of resolutions she would have a theme for 2008. I really liked her theme it is, "does it really matter...and DO those things that really matter". So I have decided to pick a theme as well. I love this quote, by one of the general authorities, it reads something like this "Leave people better than you found them." So that is it. That is my theme.
Thank you for being a part of our lives. We can not wait for 2008!

Christmas

We had a fondue on Chistmas day.
We had a great Christmas. My mom, and Jamie and Jeremy came to town. My mom did the 12 days of Christmas for the boys. They had a present to open every day for 12 days before Christmas. The girls went shopping on Christmas Eve and the boys went golfing. We had a big dinner for Christmas-Eve-Eve, another one on Christmas Eve, and another one on Christmas. The holidays are all about the food. The boys were so excited on Christmas. It was so much fun watching them.

A package from the North Pole

We got a package left on our front door from the North Pole.

Christmas aprons and a gingerbread house. How did Santa know it was Family Home Evening?

The boys ate more than they used.

We will be lucky if it is not half eaten by Christmas!

Easter

We had the best time this past weekend. My little sister and her husband came to town for Easter. The boys adore them both. Jamie and I, like always, had a great time shopping. I like to think of myself as a seasoned shopper, but this girl can shop like no other. She is the only girl that I know that can shop that long in 2 inch heels!

On Saturday the Service's came over we had such a great time...like always! Then we completed the weekend with an awesome Easter dinner.

Easter Threads

Since our church starts at the crack of dawn (8:30 am) I decided I better get pictures of the boys in their Easter outfits before hand.
